How to pay
Paying to use the Northern Gateway Toll Road is easy. You can pay online or by setting up a toll account with no additional payment charges.
Alternatively you can pay at a self service kiosk or by phone through the contact centre but payments made through these methods will incur payment charges per transaction.
Tolls should be paid before your travel but you can pay up to 5 days after the trip is taken before you will receive a toll payment notice which will contain a $4.90 administration charge on top of your tolls.
By account
Opening an account is the easiest way to pay for tolls. You can have multiple vehicles and your account is automatically topped up when the balance gets low.
Buy single, return or multiple trips
You can buy up to 10 toll trips online, by phone or at a self service kiosk.
Toll payment notice / infringement notice
If you haven't paid within five days, a toll payment notice is sent to the registered person of the vehicle with an administration charge of $4.90.
If you don’t pay
Failure to pay a toll and any associated fees is an offence. Unpaid fees may be referred to the Ministry of Justice or a debt collection agency.
Open an account
You will be able to view your account balance, usage, or top up accounts.
