Toll tariffs, charges and fees
You are charged a toll every time you use the Northern Gateway Toll Road. The amount you pay depends on the type of vehicle you’re driving. Toll tariffs are signposted as you approach the toll road.

- Car: $2
- Light commercial vehicle: $2
- Heavy vehicle (more than 3.5 tonnes): $4
- Motorcycles: $2 (effective 1 June 2010)
- Caravan or trailer: There is no extra toll for towing a caravan or trailer.
Tolls are GST inclusive.

Casual user charges and fees

| Infringement fee | The fee when an infringement notice is sent because a toll payment notice hasn’t been paid | $40.00 |
| Dishonour charge | The administration charge when a payment has been dishonoured, including the dishonour fee incurred by NZTA Toll road | $20.60 |
| Additional copies of TPN/GST Statement | The fee for each additional toll payment notice or GST statement request | $2.30 |
